Advocates 4 Animals co-founder and Executive Director Stacey Ritz shares the story of how it all began- the founding of Advocates 4 Animals, Inc. The story is published in her latest book, Chicken Soup for the Soul: From Lemons to Lemonade to be released on 8/13/2013.
In the book, Ritz shares that her early experiences of volunteering at high-volume animal shelters altered her life as much as she altered the lives of the animals she worked hard to save. She shares, “I was in awe that one person could really make a difference. I began to learn that we each have the power within us to make miracles happen. It takes three elements: effort, persistence and a positive attitude. With those three qualities, I learned that anything is possible!” Since the founding of Advocates 4 Animals, the 501(c)3 non-profit organization has saved the lives of thousands of death row shelter pets in desperate need. Advocates 4 Animals works to create No Kill Communities throughout the nation in addition to their rescue, rehabilitation, adoption program; pet food pantry/pet food assistance program, spay/neuter program and shelter outreach programs.
