Featured Success Story: Lily

santapics4

Literally just moments away from certain death at the hands of shelter workers (due to nothing more than the shelters minimum once a week “clean out”), A4A founders successfully pulled Lily from death row. Temporary boarding was arranged overnight while A4A worked hard to coordinate transportation to one of the volunteer foster homes. When Lily arrived to A4A, she was severely underweight and terrified. With lots of love and care from the A4A team, Lily began to thrive after just a few short days in her volunteer foster home. She soon learned how to walk on a leash, she rode in the car like a pro, she learned to play with toys- and she certainly showed us all that she loves everyone! Once Lily was healthy, spayed and socially/emotionally strong- she was quickly adopted by a loving family in Kettering, OH. Lily quickly made herself a part of the family and we couldn’t be happier for Lily and her adopters! Read more about their story here: The Benefits of Adoption Adult Dogs: Lily's Story
