We have developed a number of Community Programs to both help control the number of homeless felines and provide solutions for owners who can no longer provide the necessary care for their felines. Below is a list of our current programs - by clicking on the Program Name, you can find a more detailed account of each program.
Barn Cat Program
Occasionally, Advocates 4 Animals rescues cats who just don't fit into the typical indoor housecat profile. For these particular cats, we have developed our Barn Cat Program that allows these cats to live outdoors with the help of caregivers to provide food, water, and shelter. The members of our Barn Cat program come from various backgrounds - from Feral Cat colonies that have to be relocated to cats who cannot adjust to the indoor life. While the majority of our cats reside indoors, the special members of our Barn Cat program show us that flexibility is necessary! All of our Barn Cats are spayed/neutered and Up to Date on Vaccinations. We ask for a $20 minimum donation for each Barn Cat to help continue the medical care and expenses of future Barn Cats. Special Needs Sponsorship Program
Some of our rescues are "Special Needs Cats" - which basically means they will remain with Advocates 4 Animals for the duration of their lives. They don't seem to mind though - with all the special care, treatments and extra attention they get for being special life is pretty good for these cats! Many of our special needs cats came from extremely abusive, neglectful and seemingly hopeless situations before they were rescued by Advocates 4 Animals. While they are unavaliable for adoption due to their special circumstances, they are eligible to be sponsored through our sponsorship program. Please click here for more information.
Community Rescue Plan
At Advocates 4 Animals, we receive numerous daily requests to help cats from all kinds of situations - homesless cats, abandoned litters of kittens, owner surrender cats, etc. While we would love to help everyone who contacts us, both space and funding are very limited. But just because we are limited doesn't mean we can't come up with a solution or two to try to help the local cats. We have recently established our Community Rescue Plan designed to provide placement solutions for our local feline community. Click here for more information.
Seniors to Seniors Feline Adoption Program
Our SENIORS to SENIORS Adoption Program matches Mature Cats with Mature Adopters. There are numerous benefits for both the Adopters and the Felines who become a part of this program! Our program is based on scientific evidence that pets increase the quality and often the quanity of life for humans. Click here for more information.
In planning ahead for your pet(s), an additional option that we offer at Advocates 4 Animals is our Guardian Angel Program. Our unique and specialized program will allow you the peace of mind in knowing that your pet will be cared for in the most loving and committed way- upon the death or terminal illness of the petâs owner. Spay/Neuter Program
Advocates 4 Animals is working hard to spread the word and to let the public know how important it is to have your pet(s) spayed/neutered! Please click here for more information.
